BAM Building and Technology has been selected to construct a large-scale parking building on the Berlinplein in Leidsche Rijn Center on behalf of the municipality of Utrecht. The building with a floor area of approximately 20,500 square meters will accommodate 620 vehicles of which 50 for the P + R. No financial details were reported.

The parking garage and P + R will be realized next to the traffic tunnel of the A2 motorway, near the Utrecht Leidsche Rijn train and bus station. From the P + R it is easy to switch to the public transport network. The building will have three entrances for cars and will be approachable from different sides. The façade on Berlinplein contains a high plinth for the hotel and catering industry or retail. In total, the building has eight parking levels with large column-free floor areas.

BAM will start implementation in August and the completion of the building is planned for the autumn of 2020.
