Bill McDermott resigns from software giant SAP. He has been at the helm of the German company for more than nine years. The 58-year-old director will continue to advise the company until the end of the year.

SAP immediately appointed Jennifer Morgan and Christian Klein as the highest bosses. Morgan has been working at SAP since 2004 and in 2017 became the first American woman on the group’s board. The German Klein started at SAP in 1999 while still a student. He worked his way up and was operational director since 2016.

McDermott joined SAP in 2002 and has been at the helm since 2010. Before that he worked at Xerox and Gartner. SAP also released preliminary results for the third quarter. They were better than expected.
