KLM Cityhopper has signed a definitive agreement for the purchase of 21 aircraft from the Brazilian manufacturer Embraer. That is six more than when a provisional purchase contract was signed during the Paris air show earlier this year. This concerns devices of the E195-E2 type.
Earlier this year, the companies agreed a provisional deal for the purchase of fifteen planes and the option for another twenty. With that deal, if all options are also raised, an amount of approximately $ 2.5 billion is involved. Of the twenty optional devices, six have now been definitively ordered. This means that there are still fourteen devices on the provisional purchase list.
The twin-engine Embraer aircraft for short to medium distances must be delivered to KLM Cityhopper between 2021 and 2023.
