Director Else Bos of De Nederlansche Bank (DNB) joins the board of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board Foundation (SASB Foundation). That is an organization that deals with guidelines for accounting in the field of sustainability.
Bos has been head of supervision at DNB since July last year. Her work at the SASB Foundation is an ancillary function. The other board members of the Dutch central bank also hold several jobs. For example, DNB president Klaas Knot recently became vice-chairman of the Financial Stability Board (FSB). That is a partnership between the financial authorities of more than twenty countries.
Bos is pleased with its position at the SASB Foundation “in this crucial time”. According to her, the standards of the organization are of great importance for the way in which companies report on their progress with sustainability objectives.
