Basic-Fit completes the Fitland acquisition

B

Operator of fitness centers Basic-Fit has completed the acquisition of its Dutch counterpart Fitland. This puts 37 gyms in the hands of Basic-Fit. Fitland is the third largest party on the Dutch fitness market.

Basic-Fit will immediately convert the layout of around 30 fitness centers into its own branches. The company expects to complete this at the end of this year. The remaining seven original Fitland gyms will be on display.

Fitland focuses on a somewhat more expensive market segment than Basic-Fit. The company has 56,000 members. When all Fitland locations have been converted, the number of Basic-Fit gyms is approaching two hundred.
