Katoen Natie, the Belgian logistics group, invests € 80 million in warehouses for the chemical industry in Sittard. It also expands terminals in Nuth and Born.
In Sittard it concerns a further 12 hectares on the Chemelot industrial estate, 800 hectares and specialized in chemistry, for the construction of 54,500 square meters of warehouses and 207 silos, the group reports.
The group of Antwerp entrepreneur Fernand Huts is going to store polymers and chemical products there, according to De Tijd.
In Born and Nuth it would be another 35,000 square meters. 250 people work at all locations, close to the Belgian and German borders. Katoen Natie is continuously expanding since its arrival in 2013 in Limburg.
