The former boss of Nissan car manufacturer, Carlos Ghosn, has denied all accusations to his address. According to sources, Ghosn told the Japanese public broadcaster NHK among other things to investigators that he did not intend to disguise the amount of compensation paid to him.

Ghosn was arrested in Japan last Monday, suspected of financial malpractice. He was arrested with Greg Kelly, a suspected accomplice and a former Nissan Motor executive.

Kelly also stated that there is nothing wrong with the payments to the Ghosn from Brazil. They were all done according to the rules and in consultation with authorities, according to Kelly. Last Thursday Ghosn and Kelly were fired by the car manufacturer.

The Japanese judiciary suspects Ghosn and Kelly, among other things, that they wanted to cover up the size of Ghosn’s income. Ghosn’s income was estimated at 90 million USD since 2010. According to the Nissan company, the two suspects have been cheating.
