DowDuPont will reward shareholders

The chemical giant DowDuPont is offering its shareholders considerable rewards. The group’s management agreed on Friday with the planned separation of the Materials Science division, which will be listed as the new Dow on 1 April. This also means an extensive share buy-back program.

Dow-DuPont announced earlier that Dow would buy 3 billion dollars in own shares if the split is a fact. The dividend for the second quarter amounts to $ 525 million at Dow. The intention is to distribute 2.1 billion dollars on an annual basis to shareholders.

DowDuPont previously announced that it splits itself into a plastic manufacturer, a maker of specialist chemicals and an agricultural branch. All three are covered by the holding.

At the Corteva Agriscience agricultural branch, DowDuPont wants to pay out a dividend of $ 400 million in the second quarter. The new DuPont will distribute $ 900 million in the second quarter, that’s the intention. Shareholders of the parent company are rewarded with a dividend of $ 325 million.
