Hon Hai Precision, the official name of electronics manufacturer Foxconn, has outperformed analysts expectations in recent times. The Taiwanese supplier of Apple also benefited from the good demand for new iPhones.
Foxconn is responsible for the assembly of most iPhones and iPads. In the past quarter, the company posted a net profit of $ 30.7 billion in Taiwan dollars, equivalent to around $ 929 million. Analysts generally expected nearly 28 billion Taiwanese dollars. Apple products account for around half of the company’s sales. In the past quarter, it was nearly 1.4 trillion Taiwanese dollars, almost the same as one year previously.
