Amsterdam-listed Alumexx, wants to pay extra attention to further growth in Germany in the first half of this year. The manufacturer of aluminum ladders for the do-it-yourself market reported this with its trade update. Alumexx cannot yet reveal the results for 2019, because the company has not yet been able to find a suitable accountant.
Alumexx said it saw its turnover increase strongly on the German market last year. The group owed that to higher online sales. Alumexx wants to maintain this momentum by investing in better deliveries and services in Germany. In the second quarter of this year, the company will acquire an additional logistics center in the Dortmund region.
The growth of Alumexx was stable in the home markets in the Netherlands and Belgium. The company has amassed a good network of sellers in those markets. The products of Alumexx have recently become available on the web store fonQ.nl. The company also registered for the Amazon platform, which will soon deliver products from its Dutch website. The group also made its entry on the American market last year.
Alumexx also reached a deal with its cooperation partner Batavia to exclusively develop and supply climbing materials of the JCB brand in the Benelux and Germany. In the summer of 2020, a complete new series of telescopic ladders will be added to the range, according to Alumexx.
