Hydratec Industries has significantly increased revenue and made higher profit last year. According to CEO Bart Aangenendt, it was “another good year” for a industrial holding company.
The turnover increased to more than 208 million euros, compared to 169 million euros in 2017. Revenues at Agri & Food Systems rose sharply, but all Hydratec companies contributed to the growth. Market ratings were further strengthened by three small acquisitions.
The operating result, excluding one-time payments, was 12.4 million euros, which is 49 percent more than a year earlier. The net result is also affected by the tax rebate. As a result, 8.5 million Euros remained below the line, and a profit of 7.1 million Euros was recorded in 2017. The proposed dividend is higher by 20 percent and amounts to 2.70 euros per share.
Hydratec orders portfolio at Agri & Food in 2018 is encouraging. Order book is well filled here. As for plastic components, the growth in food and health care turnover is likely to continue over the next period, but events in the automotive market contain more uncertainties.
