Oil and gas group Shell has made a deal with the American Kosmos Energy about a takeover of interests in various exploration projects. This amounts to USD 100 million, plus future payments of up to USD 100 million.
These are four projects off the coast of West Africa and Surinam. Exploration drilling is planned for 2021 for three of the four projects. The transaction between Shell and Kosmos should be completed by the end of this year.
