Automaker Volkswagen will restart its factories in hometown Wolfsburg this week. As a result, approximately 8,000 employees of the company can return to work.
The Wolfsburg plant will reach 10 to 15 percent of its maximum production this week. 40 percent should be reached by the end of next week.
Last week VW also opened factories in Zwickau, where the electric ID.3 is off the production line, and in Slovakia. Meanwhile, 70 percent of dealers in Germany are also open again.
