Fintech company Wirecard has raised its expectations for the longer term. The German payment processor is expecting a turnover of around 12 billion euros by 2025. Previously the company assumed at least 10 billion euros in revenue that year. Wirecard revealed the prognosis during his investor day in New York.
The operating result should amount to 3.8 billion euros in 2025, compared to 3.3 billion euros in an earlier forecast. Wirecard thus stands for explosive growth. This year the company is counting on an operating result of at least 760 million euros.
The total transaction volume in 2025 will amount to 810 billion euros, according to the company. Wirecard is also more positive here than in an earlier estimate where it was expected to be at least 710 billion euros. In order to achieve growth, Wirecard is aiming more and more at large customers, where it now mainly has smaller and medium-sized customers and partners. Furthermore, the use of data and the worldwide presence must stimulate the growth of Wirecard.
