Producer prices in euro zone are up

Producer prices in the Eurozone rose by 0.4 percent in January compared to a month earlier. This was announced by the European statistical office Eurostat.

Economists averaged an increase of 0.3 percent in average. In December, the prices demanded by manufacturers in the euro area went down by 0.8 percent.

Throughout the European Union, an increase of 0.3 percent was measured on a monthly basis in January, according to Eurostat.
